Colorado Direct Feeder Cattle Weighted Average
Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 09/18/2020
Receipts: 2,207 Last Week: 1,402 Last Year: 3,639
Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers not established
for Current FOB delivery. Demand mostly moderate. Sale barns saw
mostly higher markets for feeder cattle as showlists tightened and
slaughter cattle prices moved higher. Once again bulk of the trades
were heifers. Supply consisted of 100 percent over 600 lbs; 93 Percent
heifers. Unless otherwise stated prices are FOB with a 2-3 Percent
shrink
or equivalent and with an 8-12 cent slide on calves and 4-8 cent slide on
yearlings from base weight.
